REX DOUGLAS PELLEY
1926 – 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rex D. Pelley announce his promotion to Glory; at Valley Vista Seniors Complex on June 5, 2017. He was 90 years old and a faithful soldier of the Salvation Army Corps, King’s Point. He is predeceased by his wife Stella, infant son Terrance; mother and father-Douglas & Dorothy Pelley; brothers-Cyril Pelley and Gerald (Edna) Pelley; sister, Pauline (Don) Benson. Left with fond and loving memories are his daughters Sharon (Donald) of King’s Point and Major Elaine Braye of Sackville, NS; His grandchildren Rex(Myra) Stirling of Musgrave Harbour, David (Jessica) Stirling of St. Andrews, NB; Capt. Mark (Nancy) Braye of Sarnia, ON. And Lieut. Sarah Braye of Truro, NS; great grandchildren-Emma and Luke Stirling, Hannah and Micah Braye, Finley and Adelyn Stirling; sisters-in-law Rose Morgan and Mary Pelley; as well as a large family of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. His service of celebration is Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Salvation Army Citadel in King’s Point. Interment will be at the King’s Point Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers are his grandsons-Rex and David Stirling, granddaughter Sarah Braye, son-in-law Donald Stirling and nephews Rhodes Pelley and Peter Pelley. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
