Peter Dennis Furey
1929 to 2017

Peter Dennis Furey was born in Carbonear on January 6, 1929. He married Ann Marie Head ( deceased) on March 19,1955. Peter and Ann are parents of eight children; Cynthia, Jim, Alma, Alice, Peter (deceased), Michael, Gerard and Tanya. They enjoy the company of thirteen grandchildren; Roseanne, Jacqueline, Paul, Trina, Jody, Selina, Deidre, Neil, Sondra Lee, Michael, Mackenzie, Keegan and Kobe. And ten great-grandchildren; Rebecca, Jaxson, Jorja Lynn, Lindsey, Matthew, Lisa, Emma, Johnny, Jonathan, Chloe and Faith. Also leaving to mourn are his sisters Anna Hayter, Bernice Waters. He cherished his relationship with his home care worker Stacy Bennett. Peter enjoyed looking out his kitchen window, smiling and waving to all those who passed by. He was well loved in his community. He loved hearing about his family’s travels and accomplishments. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
