Condolence: Sending condolences to the Sweeney family, especially by pitching buddy Terry. I remember watching Jack pitch softball back in the early 70's and wanting to be like him. He was the best in town and he was a great teacher of the game. I have nothing but fond memories of Jack. Dave

Condolence From: Sarah Hennessey
Condolence: I didn't know Jack well but over the past couple of years I have had a chance to chat with him on many occasions at my place of work. He often mentioned his love of swimming, bowling, and also going in the woods to cut firewood. At 81 years old he was more active than some 20 year olds I know. A very kind and interesting person to chat with. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. Sending my heartfelt condolences to all his loved ones.

Condolence: To the Sweeney Family, sorry to hear of Jacks passing. Ash a lifeguard at the Y I spent many many days talking to Jack about everything under the sun! He always had a word of wisdom,a joke and a smile for everyone! The first time we met when I said "Hi Jack" he very promptly with a huge smile reminded me "don't say that on a plane" He had a way to make you smile and laugh just when you needed it! Such a kind and loving man. He will be missed at our lunch time swim. Rest in Pece Jack...swim with the Angles.

Condolence From: Joan Tobin
Condolence: To the Sweeney family - So sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I usually sit in the last pew at Church and Jack was usually there before i arrived and we often had a little chat before Mass started. One of the things he told me was about the big party he and his wife had last year for their wedding anniversary and how much he enjoyed it. I always looked forward to seeing him there as he was such a gentle gentleman and always had a smile. I will miss him each time I attend Mass from now on and I'm sorry I won't be able to attend his wake or funeral as I am out of town on vacation. I'm sure his family and friends have many memories of this gentle man as they go through this difficult time and I'm sure they will help them through many yeas to come. Rest in a Peace, Jack... God Bless... Your Church buddy, Joan...
