Cyril J. Downey
September 23, 1932 - May 25, 2015

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Cyril Joseph Downey announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on May 25, 2015 at the age of 82. Cyril Joseph retired from Abitibi Consolidated after 40 years of service. He was predeceased by his parents, Lena and Francis Downey; infant son, Hubert Keith; sisters, Selena and Ann.
Left with fond and loving memories are his loving wife of 63 years, Joan; sons, Frank (Lynn) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Cyril Junior (Linda) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Gary (Barbara) of Kentville, NS, and Rick (Tina) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL; and daughter, Joann of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Also leaving to mourn are sisters, Theresa, Margaret, and Gertrude; brother, Joseph; seven grandchildren, Frank Jr., Kimberly, Melanie, Chad, Nicolas, Nathan, and Stacey-Lee; and five great-grandchildren.
