Condolence: Mim & I send our deepest condolences to the entire family. Cliff was loved by you all and we realize that his passing will be difficult for you. We hope memories from the many happy times together will be shared and enjoyed over the next few days as you gather and say your goodbyes.
Personally, Cliff found his way into so many memories I have of younger years when Cliff supported not only his sons, but cheered us all on in so many ways: a "drag" home from school at lunch time - We knew he knew!!!; or making a point to speak to us and cheer for us or get on our cases when we needed it at rinks throughout Central Nfld.; or finding me a spot in a small boat as we motored to the "narrows" at Light & Power Dam where he enjoyed our excitement in pursuing what nature had to offer and helping in any way he could when the trout sometimes elluded us. I don't recall ever going home empty handed. Thanks Cliff!
In addition to those special memories, Cliff's legacy is his children and their friendliness and zest for many of the joys in life that Cliff exposed them to.
How proud he must have been just a few weeks ago when you all gathered under happier circumstances. He earned your love and devotion and you each became fine adults in your own right. We have been fortunate to be in your circle of friendship - heck we even let one of you into our family!!! and how fortunate we were... right Dave!!
Grieve as you should but also be happy to know that Cliff was a fine fine person and his legacy lives on in my memories and in his offspring, now across several generations.
