Condolence: With Vincent Rowsell's passing, I have lost my only surviving uncle. His passing stirs memories of early years when I visited my grandparents in Terra Nova. He and his twin brother Wallace were young men. I remember trouting with them in Lily Brook. I remember their occasional brief visits to Glovertown, coming by train and returning again by the next one. After my father's death especially we looked forward to their visits. As a youth I was impressed with Uncle Vince. He was smart, winsome, generous--qualities that never left him. When I was 17 and leaving for teacher's college, I needed a top coat (raglan) and I hadn't money to buy one. He ordered one for me from a mail order catalog. It was of perfect size and colour. I wore it many years and thanked him many times for it. I am saddened by his passing, but thank God for his life and cherish his memory.
