Condolence From: Glenda Pollard-Flemington
Condolence: Aunt Shirley and Ruth, Sorry to hear about Uncle Malc's passing. When I think of him I'm reminded of visiting him and Nanny in Pacquet. Quite often you'd find him either cleaning fish or cleaving wood. He always had a kind word and a smile. In later years, him and Nanny moved to Baie Verte and lived with us in my Mom and Dad's home. Uncle Malc would often take out the button accordian and play a tune for Nanny; at times he played the spoons and often a melody on the harmonica. He had a love for music, people and God. We used to joke about him finding a woman ... until he met Aunt Shirley! I remember his excitement and at the same time, his bashfulness. He couldn't believe he found such a wonderful treasure! (I was so excited to see the ring he bought for Aunt Shirley.) He looked forward to spending the rest of his life with her. Aunt Shirley (from my memory) was very shy but I believe over the years Uncle Malc helped bring a balance. When Ruth came along - well - Uncle Malc beamed with joy to be a Daddy and to have a little girl of his own flesh and blood. For many years he had longed to be married and become a Dad. When Ruth was born, his main dreams had been fulfilled. He was very outgoing and accepting to everyone he met along the way. Today I encourage you, Aunt Shirley and Ruth, to continue on in your faith and hope with memories that will carry you through. There will come a day when you will meet again. Love and prayers to you both.

Condolence From: Ken (Nun) and Shirley Norman, Belleville, Ontario
Condolence: Hi Shirley and Ruby: We are sorry to get the news of Malcolm's death. Our sincere sympathy to both of you and your families. You might not know, Shirley, but Malcolm's Dad was Nun's Dad's brother and his Mom was his Mom's sister, which makes us a little bit closer than cousins. Nun was Malcolm's senior by eight years, and has fond memories of times together in Pacquet during his youth. We will be thinking of you during these very difficult days ahead without Malcolm. The loss of loved ones is always so devastating, as we know from personal experience, and life after the death of loved ones is never quite the same again. We pray that you all will find what is necessary to go on in life. May God's love support you during this trying time. Love, Nun and Shirley.

Condolence From: Fred and Gloria Stacey
Condolence: Shirley and family Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Malcolm. I still remember our first Sunday morning in Beachside in 1978 when Malcolm stood to his feed to give his thanksgiving and testimony to the Lord. He personally welcomed "our new Pastor and his family and I believe God has sent you here". Malcolm lived a very quiet life and certainly was never any cause of concern for any pastor. Malcolm was a faithful man and one of the most honest individuals I knew. He lived his faith and now he is enjoying the fulfillment of what he believed, "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". Sorrow is a natural and normal part of separation in this life to a family of love. Be assured we are thinking of you all today and understand how much his passing means to you. May God comfort and strengthen your hearts for the journey until we see Jesus. Blessings Fred and Gloria Stacey Kingston, Ontario.

I remember seeing him walk the roads of Beachside, I remember working with him on the community stage, I remember hearing him testify in church and I remember his gentle spirit. Malcolm showed us all how to walk with humility, how to stand with integrity and also how to live for God. My sympathy goes out to Malcolm's family. I am sure heavens doors opened once he took his last breath.
