Obituary for Verna Pearl Rice (Warren)

Verna Pearl Rice (Warren)
VERNA PEARL RICE (Warren)
1954 – 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Verna Pearl Rice announce her passing in Springdale on July 13, 2017 at the age of 63. She was predeceased by her husband Allan Maxwell Rice; parents, Ronald & Elsie Warren; sister, Ruda (Stanley) Parsons; brothers, Lonzo and Frazer Warren and brother-in-law Paul Rice. Left with fond and loving memories is her son Bradley (Robin) of Seal Cove and daughter Corina (Pierre) of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn are her grandchildren – Christopher, Stevi, Logan and Jamie; sisters – Velma (Gerald-deceased) Dalley, Jean (Cyril) Bowers, Vivian (Ross-deceased) Wells, and Cavell (Philip) Rice; brothers – Lindsay Warren, Bill (Joy) Warren, Ron (Elaine) Warren and Keith Warren. My mother Verna Pearl. She was a very simple but unique woman. She loved color and anything that was different. She enjoyed shopping online and getting her jewelry come in the mail always put a big smile on her face. She always seen the best in everyone. Never liked to talk badly about people. She adored her grandchildren spoiling them at every opportunity. She’d say when they’re at Nan’s they get what they want. Just before she passed she told my brother and I that our father, who passed 15 years ago, came to her and was wearing an all-white suit, and that they were going to get married again and that he was so handsome. She smiled with so much contentment. That’s when I knew she was going to be just fine on her journey after this lifetime. Rev. Charlene Laing will conduct the funeral service at the Interfaith Cemetery in Seal Cove on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
