Condolence: Sorry to hear of Rank's passing. We were away fom home and did not receive the news until our return on Aug. 17th. Rank was a friend of ours for a number of years and was very helpful in many ways. Like us all he had issues and lived through them. "God Bless"

Condolence: I first met Rank Lane in the machine room .I was a bona fide broke hustler while Rank at the time was a paper maker, few steps up on the paper scale, and like all mill workers he loved a god chat or yarn as he waited for the paper to roll off the machine.
I was one of many young men on the totem pole seeking university tuition cash to achieve my educational degrees . Many young men benefited from the opportunity to finance 4 to 5 years of study at MUN through our paper mill , and then move on to a Saint Francis Xavier Master's Degree ,or some other Canadian university.
I found Rank to be an easy going fellow who worked for his dollar and in later years he hit his stride because he became a car salesman .He was well suited for that because he was a great talker and was a " hail fellow well met".
Knowing him fairly well I bet he's a key person beyond our earthly borders .Rest in eternal peace .

Condolence: Sorry to hear of Rank's passing. I didn't know him very well, but he was a friend of my dad's half-sister Shirley Thomas (nee Goodyear) and I met him on a trip to Newfoundland 10 years ago. He traveled around Newfoundland with Shirley and my family helping me discover my Goodyear family roots on that trip, so I am very grateful to him for that.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Ranks passing. I have very fond memories of Rank and it was always a pleasent conversation whenever I had seen him over these past years and especially after my fathers passing. It's very real how fleeting ones life is and it's those special moment that I keep close to my heart.

Deepest condolences to Kim, Anne and other family and friends.
