OWEN WINSTON YOUNG
1941 - 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Owen Young announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on August 16th, 2017, at the age of 76. He is predeceased by his father Ernest, mother Sarah (Peyton), and son Michael (1987). Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Ann (Gill), son Robert (Katherine) of Grand Falls-Windsor, and daughter Denise (Ken Smiley) of New Minas. Also leaving to mourn are his sister Janet Evans (Bill), brother Roy (Pam), and grandchildren Laura, Julie, Robecca, Owen, and Mary Claire. Owen leaves behind a large circle of family and friends. Reverend Randy Lockyer will conduct the funeral service at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Friday, August 18th, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Anglican Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Robert Young, Ken Smiley, Roy Young, Wayne King, Ron Power, and Tim Froude. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Young, John Henderson, and Winston Hollet. Donations can be made to the Lionel Kelland Hospice.
