Condolence: David, Marnie, Jim and Andrew,
Len and I were saddened to hear of the passing of your mother and send our condolences to you and all your family. Hearing of her death was bit of a shock after seeing her just a few days ago. It was wonderful to visit with her and reminisce about our days in Grand Falls. David, it was also a treat to see you after so many years and recall specific incidents about my being your teacher. Interestingly last night we attended a dinner theatre performance of "Where Once They Stood" and it was very moving to see a young actor play the part of your grandfather, Leonard Stick, first in line to sign up. It brought home to me very vividly what a wonderful legacy your mother has left behind in the writing of her recent book. You may have already seen that play, but if you have not, it would be very special to all your family. Your mother was a truly remarkable lady who with your father raised a wonderful family. She will be missed, but will live on in your hearts forever. May peace be yours during those difficult days and may you have courage to travel on as your mother would have you do. God bless.
