Condolence From: Laura and Len Williams
Condolence: David, Marnie, Jim and Andrew, Len and I were saddened to hear of the passing of your mother and send our condolences to you and all your family. Hearing of her death was bit of a shock after seeing her just a few days ago. It was wonderful to visit with her and reminisce about our days in Grand Falls. David, it was also a treat to see you after so many years and recall specific incidents about my being your teacher. Interestingly last night we attended a dinner theatre performance of "Where Once They Stood" and it was very moving to see a young actor play the part of your grandfather, Leonard Stick, first in line to sign up. It brought home to me very vividly what a wonderful legacy your mother has left behind in the writing of her recent book. You may have already seen that play, but if you have not, it would be very special to all your family. Your mother was a truly remarkable lady who with your father raised a wonderful family. She will be missed, but will live on in your hearts forever. May peace be yours during those difficult days and may you have courage to travel on as your mother would have you do. God bless.

Condolence From: Winston "Moose" Abbott
Condolence: To the Morrow family it was so sad to hear of Hilda's passing. I still recall very good memories of my year in her class in the old brick building on high Street back in the early 1950's. She was a great teacher who moulded us and I can still see her getting us down the flights of steps during fire drill and later getting us to slide down the escape chute during the same drill. Her stories about her father would keep us enthralled. She always attended our GFA reunions and I can still see her when she answered the door when a classmate and I knocked when we were back for our 50th . She opened the door and we both said "Hello Miss Stick" She put her hand up to stop us and replied" Give me a second " she paused and then said "Moose Abbott and Porky Allen" The next hour was a time of remembrances and laughter. She was and still is and will be an influence on the way I try to conduct my life. She is a loss to your family but she is also a big loss to the community as a whole.

Condolence From: Joan Tobin
Condolence: Dave and Shirley and extended family members, please accept my condolences on Mrs. Morrow's (Hilda's) passing. I did not know Hilda personally but knew Bobby quite well and would often see the two of them together, and, of course, saw Hilda in group pictures which the family would share. I have always heard wonderful things about her and know she lived a pretty active life even to the point of writing a book in her later years. Her children are certainly a credit to Hilda (and Bob) and I know there must be numerous memories that will keep her in their hearts forever. Rest assured that both she and Bob are looking down on you all during these difficult days. Rest in Peace, Hilda. God Bless...
