VIVIAN STRICKLAND
1926 – 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vivian Strickland announce her passing at the Lakeside Homes in Gander on October 4, 2017 at the age of 91. Vivian was a member of the UCW in Springdale. Left with fond and loving memories is her sons-Harry (Marilyn) of Milton, On, Gerry (Joan) of Mississauga, On, Rick (Dana) of St. John’s; daughters-Linda (Karl Prokein) of Kitchener, ON, Shirley of Toronto, On, Beverly (Jeff Follett) of Gander, Ruth (Dave Mullins) of Georgetown, On, Janet (Arch Locke) of St. John’s, Sharon (Randy) of Fort McMurray, AB, and Cindy (Eddie) of Halifax, NS. Also leaving to mourn are 21 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; sister-in-law Betty Penney. Rev. Rachel Robbinson will conduct the funeral service from the Grace United Church in Springdale on Saturday, October 7 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the United Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeff Follett, Andrew Follett, Craig Locke, Dave Mullins, Rick Strickland and Arch Locke. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
