Condolence: I would like to extend my heartfelt sorrow to Sheila and the families of Noreen. I met Noreen several times through Sheila. One meeting was in Canadian Tire maybe 5-7 years ago and Noreen was in the plumbing section by herself looking a little confused and maybe even a bit frustrated. I asked her what she was looking for and she said she was looking for a cover or “something” to go over a pipe. After some discussion I figured out it was a chrome flange that we use to cover up pipes coming out of the floor, wall ( maybe for steam heat) or shower area to add a cosmetic look that she was looking for. I showed her two or three types, explained how they went on (like a bracelet or handcuffs) but she couldn’t determine what size she needed. I finally said to her “for God’s sake, woman” buy two or three; they are only about $4 -$5 dollars each, take them home, find the right one and bring back what you don’t need. You got a barrel of money and plenty of time on your hands, so problem solved”
Noreen thought that was hilarious!! She then thanked me so profusely for my help that you would think I had replaced her furnace or something. She then went on her way and I went mine. She left me with a really nice feeling and I guess that is what was conveyed about Noreen throughout previous condolences.
I would again like to express my condolences to Shelia, Phil and Noreen’s extended families. Noreen certainly was a sweet woman.

Condolence: Noreen was a kind and gentle lady that I have known for many years, most recently while I worked at Harmsworth Library. She had an eager appetite to read popular new books and it was always a pleasure to aid her in finding exactly what she was interesting in reading. She was always so appreciative of even the smallest request being filled. We shared her many reflections of her working career where she met my father and mother through business dealings. Noreen always made a point to tell me how much she enjoyed knowing my parents. Her rare ability to make others feel good and happier to have known her, is something not easily forgotten. Rest in peace dearest lady, you will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to her family and loved ones.
