1946 – 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Shirley Welma Goudie announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Hospital in Grand Falls-Windsor on November 8, 2017 at the age of 71. Shirley was predeceased by husband, Robert; mother, Della Rideout; father, Hedley Rideout; infant children, Dale and Karen; grandchild Corey Smith; brothers, Leslie, Clarence and Wycliffe Rideout. Left with fond and loving memories is her sons-Randy (Mollie) of Port Anson and Clyde (Deanna) of Kelowna, BC; daughters- Patricia (David) of Port Anson and Viola (Bud) of Robert’s Arm. Also leaving to mourn are grandchildren-Erica Smith (Bobby), Blake Smith, Travis and Cody Goudie, Anna Payne (Elvis), Steven Burton, Rebecca Bowers; great grandchildren-Ariel, Asia, Alana, Corey, Micaela and Kash; brother Overton; sister Bernice Cooper; sisters-in-law Margaret Rideout and Fronie Rideout; caregivers-Jennifer Morey and Kim Fowlow as well as a large circle of family and friends. Pastor Henry Sansome will conduct the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Port Anson on Monday, November 13 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Port Anson. Pallbearers are David Burton, Bud Smith, Elvis Payne, Bobby Burton, Moody Hewlett and Ivan Smith. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
