I have so many wonderful memories of you all and your dad dating back to our years in Lynn Lake & Leaf Rapids together in the early 1970s. We fast forward to years later when we reunite back home. Condolence: We truly wish we could be there for all of you as you say so long to a wonderful man. I have been heard to say that Alf was a man who was born smiling! Whenever we were in his company, from his words of greeting , through all his stories and news that he loved to share, during his enquires about family members or recent happenings, while we sat at the table to sample Cora's treats , right up to his farewell at the doorstep; Alf was smiling. He had a special way of making you feel welcome and showing interest in your life. He always talked about his family and his pride in each of you was always on display for all to see. Alf was not a man to fly solo, it was always very evident that him and Cora were partners for life. After her passing , he was very vocal in voicing his heart's desire. I'm sure that today he wouldn't want you to shed many tears for he is with his life long love and his Lord. His desires have been granted! Although it is always sad and upsetting to lose one that you love so much, it will help ease the pain to know that he is in his happy place. We can all rest assured that his big, beautiful smile is just lighting up the place as he is welcomed home. Our thoughts and love is with each of you at this time.

He came across as being very smart and particular. It is so sad that we have to lose our loved ones but he is gone to a better place.
