ARTHUR PEARCE GRIFFIN
1929 - 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Arthur P. Griffin announce his passing at his home in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on February 10, 2018 at the age of 88. Arthur was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Cancer Survivors Choir, and Local 63. He retired from Abitibi-Price in December of 1987 after 41 years. Arthur was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (Best) Griffin, parents, Thomas and Madeline Griffin, brothers, Thomas, Claude, William, and Desmond, and sister, Gertrude. Left with fond and loving memories are his sons, Dennis of Langley, BC, and Tom (Shannon) of Dartmouth, NS, and daughter, Laura Race (Michael) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Also leaving to mourn are his sister, Barbara, of South Carolina, and grandchildren Amanda, Maria, Jacob, and Noah. Father Joseph Uy will conduct the funeral service at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
