Obituary for Eldred Reginald Joseph "Reg" Pardy

Eldred Reginald Joseph "Reg" Pardy
ELDRED REGINALD JOSEPH "REG" PARDY
1933 - 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eldred Reginald Joseph Pardy announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on March 13, 2018 at the age of 84. Eldred Reginald Joseph “Reg” was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #12 and Elks of Canada, where he spent a lot of his time giving back to the community. You would often see Reg in the kitchen cooking up many “Flipper Dinners” to help raise money for various organizations. He took pride in telling his silly stories to put a smile on the faces of family and friends. Reg was self-employed and continued to work into his early 70s. He enjoyed the great outdoors and looked forward to his moose hunting trips in the fall. He took his last moose hunting trip in November 2017, before he became ill. Reg was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of which he made many great memories. Rest easy, Dad.

Reg is predeceased by his wife, Marjorie Florence (Lidstone), parents Dorothy Burt and Joseph Pardy, sisters Rosalind, Margaret, Sadie, Louise, and Eileen, brothers Ernest, Walter, Eugene, and Havalon, and son-in-law, Mervin Jewer.

Left with fond and loving memories are his sons Wayne (Bonnie) of Botwood, NL, Tony (Susan) of North Vancouver, BC, and Brian (Beverly) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, and daughters Pauline of Botwood, NL, Bonita (Doug) of Ottawa, ON, and Penny of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.

Also leaving to mourn are his sisters Betty, Jean, and Louise (Garland), grandchildren Michelle (Renee), Robin (Brandon), Taylor, Drew, Brooke, Wanda Lee (Todd), Douglas (Karine), David (Sarah), Adam (Stacie), Brian (Jennifer), and Joshua, and great-grandchildren Ryan, Jacob, Maxwell, Braxton, Lily, Payton, Noah, Lyra, and Leif, as well as special friends Rebecca and family, many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of friends and relatives.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Central Funeral Homes Chapel from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Majors Marilyn and Maurice Blackler will conduct the funeral service on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salvation Army Citadel, Circular Road in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Interment will be at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Musgrave Harbour, NL, at a later date. Donations may be made in his memory to the Salvation Army Citadel, Circular Road, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL
