WALTER NORMAN COLBOURNE
1944 – 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter Norman Colbourne announce his passing at his home in Springdale on March 15, 2018 at the age of 74. Walter retired Weatherill Control Systems Ltd. in Stouffville, Ontario. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph & Gwendolyn; brother, Henry; sisters-Joyce and Julia. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife Phyllis and daughters-Diane (Mark) of London, ON, Sylvia (Glen) of Scarborough, ON and Joyce (Sheldon) of Bellville, ON. Also leaving to mourn are siblings-Blanche (Gerry), Pearl (Gerald), Bessie (Mike), Daisy (Eugene), Gord (Josephine), Joe (Linda), Ken (Ada); sisters-in-law-Dorothy (Norman), Brenda, Rhoda; brothers-in-law-Jim (Myrtle) and David (Betty) as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. Rev. Madonna Boone will conduct the funeral service from St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Springdale on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Anglican Cemetery in Coffee Cove. Pallbearers are Joe Colbourne (brother), Ken Colbourne (brother), Jim Thistle (brother-in-law), Mike Armstrong (brother-in-law), Eugene Wells (brother-in-law), Greg Mercer (family friend).Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
