It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie Theresa Skanes announce her passing at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre in Buchans, NL on March 25, 2018 at the age of 83. Marie was a member of St. Theresa's Parish. She is predeceased by her husband, Douglas, and parents, Patrick and Annie Head. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons, Edward of Buchans, NL, Douglas (Junko) of Woodbridge, ON, Gary (Selma) of Goulds, NL, Robert (Shannon) of Parksville, BC, and daughter Charlene of Buchans, NL. Also leaving to mourn are brothers Angus (Loretta), Anthony (Lorna), and sisters Anna Smith (Harry - deceased), Margaret Schuur (Harmannus), 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Rev. Tom Duffenais will conduct the funeral service at St. Theresa's Parish in Buchans, NL on March 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Buchans Community Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
