WILLIAM BILLY FOLKES
1937 - 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Folkes announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on March 29, 2018 at the age of 80. William retired from Abitibi-Price. He is predeceased by his parents, William Folkes Sr. and Maggie Folkes (Squires), Hubert Folkes, Isabelle Anstey, Ruth Ethridge, Myrtle Power, Margaret Hanlon, Harold Folkes, Lloyd Folkes, Wilfred Folkes, and Allister Folkes. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Bonita Folkes (Budgell), sons Gary (Judy) of Johnstown, ON, Howard (Betty) of Norris Arm, NL, Tony (Mary) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, and daughter Cathy (Calvin) of Fort McMurray, AB. Also leaving to mourn are his sister, Shirley Critch, grandchildren Shelley Bennett, Jamie Folkes, Ronnie Folkes, Diane Davidson, Amy Davidson, Loretta Snow, Angie Folkes, Nicole Gregory, Zena Sheppard, Bonita Folkes, Danita Folkes, Daniel Folkes, Kendra Flynn, Katelin Combdon, Kody Dinney, and Kyle Dinney, and 22 great-grandchildren. Rev. Robin Travors will conduct the funeral service at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Anglican Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gary Folkes, Howie Folkes, Tony Folkes, Calvin Dinney, Kody Dinney, and Kyle Dinney. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
