Condolence: To the Bouzanne, Goosney and Pumphrey families. I have such great memories of Gerald and Delores. A couple of times, when my mother was undergoing cancer treatment, I would drop down to see Delores for a “couple of minutes”, and that would quickly become an hour or more. I enjoyed our conversations and had so much respect for her. She will certainly be missed.

Condolence: To: Geraldine/Greg and family, Roxanne/Doug and family It is with deepest sympathy and a broken heart that I am unable to with you today as you celebrate the life of a very special lady, your mom. If there was ever a time that I could be in two places at one time it would be today. To me, your Mom was a role model mother especially during the months that I lived there after fire destroyed our family home. She treated me like a daughter with unconditional love and I felt loved and safe away from my own parents. She was also a wonderful neighbour and always a dear friend. She touched the hearts of all those she met with her kindness and tenderness. She was always my Mom’s very best true friend. She was a woman without fault in all our family’s eyes. In fact the only house in Little Bay that our brother Bren wanted to visit before his passing was your family homestead. All of us gathered as a family in your Mom’s kitchen and it felt like we were home that Christmas evening. There are not enough words to say how I feel about your Mom so I will say, “I love you Delorse and you will live forever in my heart and memory. Then someone at my side says: “There, she is gone!” “Gone where?” Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
