HUBERT JAMES WEIR
1938 – 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hubert James Weir announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on April 17, 2018 at the age of 79. Hubert was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church and also a former member of the Bethel Pentecostal Church in Beachside. He retired from Mining. Hubert was predeceased by his father Allan and his mother Emmie; son, Anthony and brother Benneth. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife Gladys; children-Woodrow Weir of Brampton, ON, Susan Weir of Elliot Lake, ON, Loretta Burch of Edmonton, AB, Sandy Lawrence (Ian) of Brampton, ON, Caroline Greene (Terry) of Yellowknife, NWT, Tonya Pelley (Jody) of Beachside, Bobbi Lewis of Spruce Grove, AB, April Pelley (Wayne) of Grande Prairie, AB; step-children:Terri-Lynn Mackler (Corey) of Kirkland Lake, On, Kelvin Hoskins of St. John’s. Also leaving to mourn are his sisters-Wavey (Ford) Young and Elizabeth Ebright; brothers-Max (Maisie) Weir, Clarence (Betty) Weir , Albert Weir and sister in law-Lovejoy Weir; 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren as well as nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Pastor Lindsey Foster will conduct the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Springdale on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Urnbearer will be Jody Pelley. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
