Woodrow Howard Fudge
Wood, as he was well known as, was born on January 12, 1932 at Head’s Harbour, Newfoundland to Sydney and Phoebe Fudge. On April 28, 1966 he married Evelyn Wiseman of Port Anson, Newfoundland. Together they had two children, Golda and Glen. His pride and joy were his darling grandchildren, Glenda, Jordan and Annabelle.
Wood left his home of Head’s Harbour as teen to work in the woods. He was a hard worker who helped support his mother at this early age, and later his wife and children. Wood retired from Abitibi Price in 1991 after a long career as a logger and truck driver. Wood and Evelyn enjoyed going in the woods together cutting wood and going for drives. You never see one without the other.
