JOAN MARY PENTON
1954 - 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Mary Penton announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on May 1, 2018 at the age of 64. Joan was a member of the All Hallows Parish. She is predeceased by her daughters, Dawn and Jennifer, mom and dad, Eileen and Gordon Bernard, and brother, Alex Bernard. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband, Don, and son, Anthony (Natasha) of Calgary, AB. Also leaving to mourn are her sisters, Rita Higgins, Louise Bernard, Carmel Vihos, and Sharon Bernard (Alvin), brothers, James (Donna), Steve (Sharon), and Gord (Darlene), grandchildren, Joshua and Megan, and special friend, Maisy Lundrigan. Father Eugene Morris will conduct the funeral service at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bishop’s Falls, NL on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are James Bernard (brother), Steve Bernard (brother), Alexander Goulding (nephew), Mitchell Rowsell (great nephew), Rita Higgins (sister), and Sharon Bernard (sister). Honorary pallbearers are Anthony Penton (son), and Gord Bernard (brother). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
