While there are many memories of lunches served at your home, a memory that always comes to mind is one that happened many years ago. I was on the wharf in Beaumont when the W. J. Bromley & Sons arrived from a successful crab trip. While Wilbert was the first one I saw with his ever present boyish grin, it was the number of people aboard that really caught my attention. There were sons with wifes, and grandchildren everywhere - what a crew! Just as I thought I had seen them all, Josie appeared in the doorway looking out towards the deck. It was her smile that said everything. She was there to look after her family and so proud of them all. And yes no doubt she was there to keep Wilbert in check. As I sat and reflected the last couple of days since her passing, I have reflected on some very special memories that we shared together. One of those special memories being of how she used to cook baked beans for us, she made one of the greatest baked beans ever made. As I was eating her baked beans today, I said Josie I guess we will have no more baked beans like yours, but as you have entered your new home you will have something better than baked beans. We look forward to the great reunion day when we will see JESUS and all of our loved ones who have gone on before us.
