Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gladys Osmond can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Susan Baggs

My deepest condolences to Capt. Osmond's family. I wish that I could be there with you today as you lay your mother to rest. While Mom and Dad were stationed in Springdale, I got the chance to get to know her. She was such a wonderful, kind lady who always welcomed a young child into her home. She made time for me whenever I went to visit her, and I loved to sit and listen to her stories about various knickknacks around her home, some of which must have come from the soldiers she wrote. Even though I was 8 when we moved there, Capt. Osmond became a dear friend to a young, shy girl. I've lost touch with her over the years, but have never forgotten her. She was truly one of a kind. My heart can't begin to feel the grief of your family, but know that she is finally home in Heaven. Please know that my heart is mourning for her as well, but I am also secure in the knowledge that she has been promoted to Glory. With my deepest sympathy, Susan Baggs
