Ada Anastatia Wellon (Nee White)
1928-2022
With her family by her side, it is with great sadness to announce the passing of the late Ada Wellon at A.M. Guy Memorial Hospital in Buchans on May 29th, 2022 at the age of 93. Predeceased by her parents William and Mary White, husband Harold Wellon, brothers, Thomas, Fred, Howard (Dulcie), sisters, Alice (Clayton), Mary, Mabel (Hughie) Betty (Wilfred), and grandson Gary Wellon.
Ada was born in Millertown in 1928 to Mr. and Mrs. William White. She attended both schools in Millertown. Ada worked as a switchboard operator with AND Company in the old Royal Stores building. In 1953 she married Harold Wellon and raised four children. She loved Millertown and spent her youth on the farm just outside the town with her brothers and sisters. Family was very important to Ada and was blessed to have all her children living close by.
Left with fond and loving memories are her son Fred (Joanne) of Millertown, daughters, Kathleen (Brian) Buchans, Karen (Dave) Buchans, Marlene (Dave) Millertown. Also leaving to mourn, grandchildren Teri, Trevor, Jill, Sarah, Nicole, Corey, Ashley, Bradford and 18 great-grandchildren, along with her brother-in-law Hallett Winter, sisters-in-law, Audrey White and Carrie White, as well as her many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Many thanks to A.M. Guy Memorial Hospital as for Ada has expressed the warm and loving care she received while her short time there. On behalf of the family many thanks as well. The care and compassion from the nursing staff was next to none and we will never forget it.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Millertown Community Church.
