It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert Burton announce his passing at the Valley Vista Complex in Springdale on June 22, 2023 at the age of 93. Albert retired from Kruger Ltd. In 1994.

Albert grew up in Springdale and was a very quiet, humble and hardworking man. He certainly loved being in nature. He loved the woods it was his happy place. Albert married the love of his life, Marie. They celebrated their 70th Anniversary on February 12th.

He was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Margaret; brothers, Charles, Malcolm and Stanley; sisters Ethel, Myrtle and Lillian; and daughter Kay.

Albert leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Marie; sons Gerald (Thelma) of Springdale, NL and Dean (Sue) of Glace Bay, NS; daughter, Sharon (Paul) of Springdale, NL.

He also leaves to mourn brothers, Timothy and Harvey (Triffie); sisters, Lydia and Joyce; grandchildren, Darlene (Reg), Jason (Charlene), Kenneth (Holly), Demi, Shari, Christian (Vicki); great grandchildren, Carter, Kenzie and Matthew.

Pastor Bill Sampson will conduct the funeral service at Springdale Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, June 28 at 2 pm; with interment to follow at the Springdale Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers are Harvey Burton, Gerald Burton, Paul Pelley, Jason Burton, Kenneth Oxford, Demi Pelley and Christian Pelley.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Michele Janes of Central Funeral Homes.
