Obituary for Alice Harnum (Furey)
May 15, 1959 - December 9, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alice (Furey) Harnum announce her sudden passing at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre in Buchans on December 9th, 2023 at the age of 64.
Born in Buchans on May 15, 1959, she is survived by her siblings Cynthia Luscombe, Jim Furey, Gerard Furey, Michael Furey and Tanya Furey. She is predeceased by her parents Peter and Ann Furey, brother Peter and twin sister Alma.
Left to mourn with love and fond memories are her loving husband James (Jimmy) Harnum, and children Trina (Dale) Harnum and Jody Harnum of Buchans. Her 3 beautiful grandchildren who she was so very proud of, Lindsey, Matthew and Lisa.
Alice had a kind heart and a gentle soul. She loved many things in her life. But family was her number one love. She loved her Mom and Dad, her siblings (especially her twin). She would talk to her mom and sister daily. She loved her children and grandchildren with everything she had. She was so very proud to see her granddaughter Lindsay graduate highschool. Jimmy was her life, he was her everything. On days when she wanted to “knock his block off” she would turn around and say she loved that Jim Harnum with her whole heart.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday December 12th at 2pm at the Buchans Community Cemetery.
