Obituary for Alick Augustus Young
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alick Augustus Young announce his passing at the Valley Vista Nursing Home in Springdale, NL on November 1st, 2020.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and a wonderful friend. Alick knew Jesus as his best friend.
He was predeceased by his parents. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife of 56 years, Ruth; sons, James (Seon Jeong) of Edmonton, AB and Jeffrey (Deanne) of Torbay, NL; daughters, Joanne (Christopher) of Silverdale, NL and Janice of Flatrock, NL. Also leaving to mourn his sister, Kathleen MacWhirter (Doug); brothers, David Young (Shirley), Lewis Young (Sadie) and Robert Young (Gloria). Grandchildren, Amanda Dawe, MacKenzie Tipple and Samuel Tipple; also a large circle of family and friends.
A celebration of Alicks life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Julia Caines of Central Funeral Homes.
