ALMA PEARL ANSTEY
1926 – 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alma Pearl Anstey announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on November 7, 2018 at the age of 91. Alma was a member of the Home League, Community Cares and the Salvation Army Church in Springdale. She was predeceased by her husband Calvin; son George; son-in-law Ivan Elliott; sisters-Ivy Colbourne, Hazel Rice, Grace Power and her brother Ron Bowers. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons-Everett (Edna) of King’s Point, Heward (Carmen) of Springdale, Lloyd (Audine) of King’s Point, Lindy (Lottie) of King’s Point and Brian (Sharon) also of King’s Point; daughters-Bernice Elliott of Toronto, Clara of St. John’s, Barb of Springdale, Pansy (Don) Fudge of Springdale, Judy (Ches) Baker of St. John’s and Roxanne (Kev) Stryde of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn are her 33 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Molly Anstey and her sister Clare Murphy of Grand Falls. Majors Wycliffe & Shirley Reid along with Major Lindsay Oxford will conduct the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel in Springdale on Saturday, November 10 at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Springdale. Pallbearers are Jo-anne Burton, Tammy Anstey, Carl Anstey, Paulette Fudge, Lisa Curran and Keith Anstey.
