1941 - 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Anthony James Lewis announces his passing at his residence in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on June 18, 2022 at the age of 80 years. Anthony retired from Abitibi. Predeceased by his parents, George and Jemima Lewis; and brothers, Norm (Dud) Lewis and Gerry Lewis. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters, Denise Dixon and Paulette Vandiunen. Also left to mourn are his brothers David (Irene) Lewis, Bill (Margaret) Lewis, and Ray (Betty) Lewis; sisters Margaret (Gerry) Munch, Rosemary (Reg) Poole, Anne (Blair) Withycombe, Teresa (Hubert) Budgell, and Marilyn (Clyde) Bonnell; sisters-in-law Josephine (Norman) and Beulah (Gerry); close friends Sam and Joanne (daughters of Lien Dormody – deceased); and special friend Louise Noseworthy. Father Joseph Uy will conduct the funeral service from Central Funeral Homes Chapel on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. Donations may be made in Anthony's memory to the Lionel Kelland Hospice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Michael Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.
