It is with great sadness that the families of the late Archibald Strickland announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Centre in Springdale, NL on March 5, 2023 at the age of 82. Arch retired from Lumberworld in Victoria BC.

He was predeceased by his parents, Albert & Isabella Strickland; his sister Annie and brother, Lionel.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Christine; sons, Albert (Sharon) of Springdale, NL; Scott (Sharon) of Victoria, BC; Peter (Sheryl) of Kingston, ON; Todd (Jackee) of Prince George, BC; Shane of Vancouver, BC and Rob (Christina) of Victoria, BC; daughters, Joy (Chris) of Halifax, NS, Sheila (Jack) of Saskatoon, SK and Lisa (George) of Kelowna, BC.

Arch also leaves to mourn his brothers, Winston and Truman (Madeline) and Sisters, Ruby (Tom)and Alma (Lester); 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as extended family and many friends.

Major Joshua Randell will conduct the funeral service at the Springdale Salvation Army Citadel on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11 am; interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Pilley’s Island. Pallbearers are Albert, Peter, Todd, Shane, Rob and Lisa.

Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Springdale Central Funeral Homes.
