Obituary for Audrey Vera Lillian Loveman (Budgell)

Audrey Vera Lillian Loveman (nee Budgell)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one in the Carmelite House G.F.W. on Tuesday October 10, 2023 at the age of 88.

Audrey was born & raised in a small outport community once known as Paradise (now Pleasantview).

She was a beloved mother to four of her daughters: Sandra (Henry), Colleen (Robert), Barbara (Scott), Sherry(Don).

A truly loving grandmother, great-grandmother & a great-great-grandmother to: Sean (Tammy), Lori (Stuart), Colleen, Dana (Wayne),Scottie (Heather), Denise (Fred) Paul, Tammy (Jody), Jenny, Trudylee (Brandon), Matthew, Nicholas, Spenser (Meagan), Kristy-Ann (Dylan), Oceanna (Luke), Cheyenne (Kevin), Victoria (Brandon), Sophie, Cameron, Sarah & Gabriel.

She is predeceased by her husband Winfield. Her brothers William (Bill), Ronald, Joseph, Reginald, and Sterling. Infant siblings Herbie, Bruce & Mildred. Nephew Billy.

Leaving to mourn are her sisters: Ernestine, Fannie, Winnie (Jerry), sisters-in-law: Geralda & Kelly. Close family friends, Enos & Wilma. A large circle of other family relatives, friends, & congregation members.

Audrey was well known for her “big hearted love” of all of her family members but especially her grand babies!! She also had a passion for cooking & baking up a delicious feast… not to be enjoyed by themselves but she wanted to share it with everyone.. friend or stranger! She truly “loved her neighbours”, and put into practice what hospitality really means!

Audrey enjoyed the things in life that we sometimes take for granted; like picking berries, admiring the varieties of flowers, time spent on the ocean or ponds, bird watching, or her special fondness of cats! She loved to share her hope of living forever here on the earth in perfect health and being able to enjoy all of these things that she adored!

Oftentimes her face would light up as she shared her conviction with others! Her daily Bible reading fortified her hope in God’s promise of the “real paradise”!

The family would like to thank The Twin Town Manor & The staff of the 3rd floor at Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre for their exceptional kindness & compassion in her care taking.

A funeral talk will be given by Frank Goodyear at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 21 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (275 Grenfell Heights, GF-W). Also available via Zoom:
