It is with great sadness that the family of the late Barry Randell announce his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Complex in Springdale NL on January 13, 2023, at the age of 77.

A seafarer throughout his career, Barry spent his formative years on several different ships prior to working as a marine engineer on the Lady Franklyn cargo ship which delivered goods to ports around the world. He finished his career working as an engineer with the Department of Transportation on the ferry system that serviced Little Bay Islands. A native of Nippers Harbour, Barry built a home and raised his family on Little Bay Islands, residing there until it’s resettlement in 2019.

Barry is predeceased by his son Todd, Mother Janie, Father Frederick, Stepmother Grace, and Brothers Fred and Eric. Leaving to Mourn with fond memories are his wife of 54 years, Ruth, son Terry (Shelley) and his grandson Alexander of Timberlea NS, grandson Nicholas of Petite Rocher, NB. Also leaving to mourn his sister, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Retired Major Larry Fudge will conduct the Funeral Service at the Salvation Army Church in Springdale on Friday January 20, 2023, at 1:00pm.
