Obituary for Bonnie Lillian Penton (Moyles)

BONNIE LILLIAN PENTON
1950 - 2018

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Bonnie Lillian (Moyles) Penton announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit of the Carmelite House in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on November 4, 2018 at the age of 68. Bonnie retired from the Knights of Columbus in 2003, where she worked as a bartender for almost 30 years.

She is predeceased by her parents, Stewart Moyles and Ruby (Blake) Moyles, and brothers, Terry, Kevin, Roger, Darren, and Glosen. She was a devoted wife of 51 years to Harold, and a loving mother to Theresa (Frank) of Bishop’s Falls, NL, Chris (Lisa) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, and Bradley of Bishop’s Falls, NL. Her heart and soul were her two grandchildren, Ryan (Jennifer) and Renee (Gavin), along with her pride and joy, her great-granddaughter Alice Fancey. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories a large circle of brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bonnie will always be remembered for her strength, resilience, kind heart, and caring attitude, always putting others before herself. She was known for her delicious home-cooked meals, and most of all, her homemade bread. She adored animals and had a special place in her heart for her two cats, Paddy and Pepper. She had an infectious personality and was always there with a quick comment or funny joke. There was never a dull moment around Bonnie and you were always sure to leave her place with a smile and a full belly. She will be missed beyond words and loved forever.

Father Moses Nwokocha will conduct the funeral service at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bishop's Falls, NL on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Chris Penton, Bradley Penton, Frank Fancey, Ryan Fancey, Don Penton, and Dave Moyles. Honorary pallbearer is Gavin Paul. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bishop’s Falls. Flowers gratefully accepted by the family or donations may be made in her memory to the Exploits Valley SPCA. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
