November 15, 1963 - April 9, 2024
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Brenda Jeanetta Thomas announce her passing at Green Bay Health Centre, Springdale, NL on April 9th, 2024 at the age of 60. She fought courageously till the end, never losing her sense of humor, in order to spend all the time she could with family and friends.
Family meant everything to Brenda. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren. She loved them with her whole heart and would do anything for them. She created many precious memories with them, as well as her many nieces and nephews, that will be forever cherished. We would be remiss not to mention her two precious cats, Billie and Puss, who she loved so dearly, who kept her company and provided so much comfort to her. But, her greatest love was Dennis, whom she met at the tender age of seventeen. She devoted herself to him for over 30 years and is now in his arms again, where she has always wanted to be.
Brenda is predeceased by her husband Dennis, parents Stanley and Rita Tulk , father-in-law Stewart Thomas, brothers Roy and Neil Tulk and brother-in-law Edgar Power . Leaving to mourn with fond memories are her sons Mark (Tina), Dennis (Tracey), Dwight (Harmony), grandchildren Eric, Hope, Abigail and Isabel, mother-in-law Bessie Thomas, her three remaining brothers, Earl (Judy), Clyde (Sally), Bernard (Barbara) and six sisters, Yvonne, Audrey (Boyde), Gloria (Ralph), Phyllis (Tony), Wanda (Rudy), Anne (Phil), sister-in-laws Marie and Lisa, as well a large circle of family and friends.
It is with grateful hearts that her family knows she’s at peace and no longer suffering. Brenda faced many challenges throughout her life, but her unwavering faith, kindhearted and determined personality was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
“Safe in the arms of Jesus, Safe on His gentle breast,
There by His love o’ershaded, Sweetly my soul shall rest”.
