It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bride Roberts announce her passing at the Valley Vista long term care in Springdale, NL.
Bride was born to Fanny and Allen Winsor on August 11, 1932. On April 12, 1950 she married Reginald (Reg) Roberts of Jim’s Cove. There they built their first home and began their family. She was an excellent homemaker and loving mother. She was very resourceful when given a challenging task. Together with Reg, they raised eight children whom she was very proud of.
Bride spent the past three years living at the Springdale Retirement Center, where the staff gave her exceptional care. For the past two months the Valley Vista became her home. She was very ill by this point in her life. The staff at the Valley Vista also gave her exceptional care.
Bride was predeceased by husband Reg; daughter Nancy; granddaughters Suzette Ryan and Mandy Watkins; son-in-law Ewen Ryan; her parents and all of her siblings.
She leaves to mourn:
Daughters: Edna Ryan, Pauline (Ignatius) Farrell, Debbie (Hemat) Sisodiya, and Carolyn (Paul) Carey. Sons: Albert (Della) Roberts, Hank (Charlene), and Lee (Robi Lynn).
As well as 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends.
Bride leaves behind a legacy of hard work, determination and perseverance.
