MARY BRIDGET "BRIDE" RICKETTS (MOORE)
1932 - 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Bridget "Bride" Ricketts announce her passing at the A.M. Guy Memorial Health Centre in Buchans, NL on December 22, 2018 at the age of 86.
Bride Ricketts (Moore) was born in Turk's Cove, NL. She came to Buchans in 1952 and worked for ASARCO and Canada Post. She met and married Bill Ricketts and they raised 7 children together. The family grew with the addition of 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Bride was active in St. Theresa's Parish and St. Theresa's Altar Society. She loved bingo and was an avid card player. She leaves her family and friends with a legacy of faith, love, and peace.
She is predeceased by her husband, Bill, parents, James and Helena Moore, brothers, Jerome and Paul, and sisters, Philomena and Mary. Left with fond and loving memories are her daughters, Karen of Buchans, NL, and Paulette (David Harris) of Buchans, NL, sons, Jerome (Lib) of Buchans, NL, Gerald (Cynthia) of Bathurst, NB, David (Patricia) of St. John's, NL, Paul of Buchans, NL, and Mark (Terri-Lynn) of Paradise, NL, grandchildren, Stephen, Michelle, Nicole, Michael, Adam, Emily, Andrew, and Ryan, and great-grandchildren, Harper and Jack. Also leaving to mourn are her sisters, Marg Moore of Moncton, NB, Ann Green (Pat - deceased) of St. John's, NL, Catherine Brennan (Dominic) of Mount Pearl, NL, and Clare Martin of Mount Pearl, NL, and brother, Ted Moore (Liz - deceased) of Montreal, QC.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Buchans, NL on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
