Obituary for Bruce Dawson Fudge

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bruce Dawson Fudge announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Heath Center in Grand Falls-Windsor on February 5th, 2023 at the age of 73.

He was born in Brighton, NL on August 17th, 1949 to Meta and Bernard Fudge. He married Beverly Vincent of Robert’s Arm and had three children.

Bruce started his career in civil construction at a young age and retired as a superintendent in 2017. During this time he played a pivotal role in the mega infrastructure such as hydro dams and bridge building Canadawide. He was well recognized and respected as a great mentor in his field.

One of his greatest hobbies and passions was boat building, which started at the age of 13 when he designed and built his first boat in his parent’s garden.

He is predeceased by his parents, grandparents, infant brother Kevin and father-in-law, Harvey Vincent.
Leaving to mourn are wife Beverly, sons Rob and Mike, daughter Jenny (Jamie Roberts), grandchildren Spencer, Brady, Nigel, and Adalynn. Also left to mourn include brothers John (Betty), Ben (Dawn), Charlie (Sheri Lee), sister Suzanne (Hedley Rideout), mother-in-law Shirley Vincent, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place for family and friends between 2 – 5 pm on Friday February 10th, 2023 at Central Funeral Homes Springdale. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the staff of the CNRHC for their compassionate care and support during his hospitalization.
