Obituary for Bruce Peckford
Passed peacefully away on July 11, 2023, at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 73 years of age.
Bruce retired from roofing and being a shared owner of PSP Roofing Ltd. of over 40 years.
Bruce was born to Leo and Beatrice Peckford on March 4, 1950, in Central Newfoundland. He married Irene Sutherland on February 15, 1969, and together raised 3 wonderful children.
Bruce is predeceased by his daughter, Judy Peckford, along with many other family members.
Bruce leaves to mourn his wife, Irene of 54 years; son, Lee (Rose) and daughter, Jennifer (Robbie); grandchildren, Genieve (Mark), Stephen (Tegan), Thomas (Alicia), Natasha (Jordan), Keshia (Bob), and Keegan; 5 great-grandchildren, Xavior, Lincoln, Morgan, August, and Damon; along with a large circle of brothers, sisters, family, and friends.
Bruce’s family was his pride and joy! When he wasn’t working on the roof, you could find him watching the Blue Jays, the Leafs, or enjoying a game of darts with his buddies.
The family would like to extend great thanks to Dr. King, Dr. Lush, Dr. House, and staff of the Cancer Clinic, along with Dr. Butler and staff of the 4th floor, all of the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
