Obituary for Carl George Oake
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Carl George Oake announce his passing at Valley Vista, Springdale, NL on February, 2024 at the age of 89.
He was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Fanny Oake; wife Shirley; daughter, Goldine Doherty; brothers Raymond, Woodrow and Dominic and sister Nellie Burton.
Left with fond and loving memories are his sons Aubrey (Ivy) of Roberts Arm, NL, Raymond (Wendy) of Belleville, ON, Terry (Audrey) of Come By Change, NL, Elvis (Brenda) of Oshawa, ON; Todd (Lori-Ann) of Triton, NL; daughters Doreen of Robert’s Arm, NL; Susan (Kevin Snow) of NS, Michelle of Ontario; Lorraine (Aubrey Short) of Fort McMurray, AB, Connie of Fort St. John, BC; Dawn (Todd Burton) of Robert’s Arm, NL and Lisa of Springdale, NL; Carl also leaves to mourn 23 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Carl’s greatest love was his boat and being out on the salt water fishing.
A celebration Life will be held at a later date in the summer when all the family can get together.
