1933 - 2022
Cecil passed away on January 2, 2022 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by his parents, Elijah & Elsie Bowers; Brothers Cyril and Lloyd and Sister, Marie; his infant son and Grandson, Johnny; and his Parents-in-law Hayward & Evelyn Payne.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Meta of 58 years. Children: Helen (Gary), Margaret, Janet (Joe), Joyce, Mollie (Randy), David, Bruce, Arnold (Leslie) and Brothers- in- law Mervin (Ruth) Payne and Sidney (Sandra) Payne and sister-in-law, Grace Payne.
He also leaves his Grandchildren: Michael (Megan), Peter, Rebecca (Tyson), Sheena, Melissa and Jake; and his Great-grandchildren: Kash, Dallas & Khloe.
He also leaves extended family and friends.
Cecil was a member of the Kings Point Fire Department and served as Fire Chief for a short time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the King’s Point Fire Department.
The family would like to say ‘Thank You’ to the staff at the Springdale Retirement Centre and the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at Valley Vista Senior’s Home.
