Our world became a sadder place on Friday, August 26, 2022 with the passing of Clifford Bambridge Sr. Cliff passed away at home in his 82nd year, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by loved ones.
In the 70’s, Cliff brought his family from Great Britain to Canada, arriving in Toronto. The family eventually settled in Western Canada, living in Grande Cache, Kitsault, Tumbler Ridge, and Fort McMurray. Over the years, Cliff worked his way up from mechanic to supervisory roles in the mining industry. No matter what position he held, he was highly respected.
In 2002, after a lengthy illness, Cliff lost his wife Jane.
After retiring from Suncor as a heavy duty mechanic supervisor, Cliff worked at Neegan in Fort McMurray and a co-worker introduced him to her sister visiting from Newfoundland. Jessie and Cliff immediately clicked, and in 2007 they tied the knot. Cliff moved to Badger and was welcomed with open arms.
Cliff is predeceased by his parents Percival and Doris; first wife Jane; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Left to mourn are his wife Jessie; son Cliff Jr. (Elaine); stepson Robert Jones (Michelle); stepdaughter Karen Stuckless (John); brother Keith (Carol); sister Eileen (John); granddaughters Allison (Josh); Nichole (Marcus), Robyn (Tyrone), Kayla (David), Carla, and Chantal; grandsons Steven and Scott; great-grandsons Liam, Logan, Jake, and Jax; and great-granddaughters Sawyer and Isabelle.
Clifford was loved by all and will be dearly missed. The family lost a great role model and a brilliant storyteller.
As per Cliff’s wishes, no service will be held.
