Obituary for Deborah Lee Lundrigan (Ludlow)

It is with fond and loving memories that the family of the late Deborah Lee Lundrigan (nee Ludlow) announce the end of her courageous battle with Cancer on May 10th 2022 in Grand Falls-Windsor. She leaves behind with many precious memories, her daughter, Angela (Randy) Seaward, her grandchildren, Evan and Emma Seaward, Sisters; Donna (Roy) Folkes, Diane (Craig) Young and Darlene (Ervin) McCurdy, nephew Christopher (Ashley) Folkes and nieces Alexandra Young (Kent O’Reilly) and Allison Young. She also leaves many friends and extended family with memorable moments especially her neighbor and partner in crime, Jackie (Paul) Young.

She is predeceased by her infant daughter, her parents Raymond and Vera (Upward) Ludlow and her loving partner William Thornhill.

Deborah (Debbie) was best known for her time as an educator in both Central and Western Newfoundland. She loved teaching, she enjoyed supporting and challenging the growth of the children she had the honor of teaching and loved learning where their educational journey took them. Outside of the classroom she enjoyed gardening, playing scrabble and having a sociable from time to time with friends. Her most favorite time, however, was spent with her grandchildren, especially at the beaches in Codroy Valley and going on adventures which often included a stop to Hynes Chicken Villa. Those who had the honor of knowing Debbie knew she embraced life and made the most of every moment.

We ask that people hold on to those memories they shared with her and continue to celebrate her life by joining us at Central Funeral Homes on May 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 for visitation and the service at Memorial United Church on May 21st at 2:00p.m.

Our gratitude to Dr. David Thomas, Ruth Wells, Rhonda Watkins and the end of life team, as well as Brandon Durnford and the staff at the Carmelite House is immeasurable. We will forever be grateful to you for all of your kindness., understanding and willingness to be present during this journey.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Julia Caines and Mike Goodyear of Central Funeral Homes.
