Born November 26, 1953 in Grand-Falls Windsor, Dennis was the middle of 9 children. He grew up on Crescent Heights in the home his father built. Dennis joined the military in 1974 where he became a mechanic. Shortly after he met and married Kathleen (Kay) Dryden and became a father to Ian, Derick and Christopher. Dennis served our country for over 20 years and was a veteran of peace keeping missions to Egypt, Golan Heights and Lahr Germany.
When he retired from the military he settled in Kingston, Ontario where he came to work at Kingston Health Sciences Centre as a security officer, earning officer of the year in 2013. It was during this time that he met his soul mate Gail. They were married July 4, 2009 and have been by each others side since. Dennis was known by everyone at the hospitals for his friendly and helpful demeanor and will forever be remembered as Santa.
After his retirement, Dennis has enjoyed summers at his trailer on Loughborough Lake, his favourite place. Gail and Dennis had a great group of friends at the trailer and he spent many hours sitting around the campfire visiting. His grandchildren also loved their time at the trailer with Grandpa and he loved having them there for a swim, roasted marshmallows and of course a ride on the golf cart.
