Doreen Francis Gallagher
October 31, 1932 - November 5,2021

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doreen Francis Gallagher announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, in Grand Falls-Windsor, on November 5, 2021. She was 89 years of age. Doreen was a devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish.

She was predeceased by her loving son Kevin and 10 of her siblings.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons Kerry Gallagher (Paula) of St. Johns, NL,
Ken Gallagher (Pauline) of Penticton, BC, and daughter Karen Poirier (Alex) of St. Johns, NL.
Also leaving to mourn brother Joseph Walsh, grandchildren Michael, Dawn, Stephen, Joseph, David, Marc, Aaron, Laura, Emily, Kevin, Leyland, Alyssa, Jonathan and 12 great grandchildren.

Doreen was a very giving person who was passionate towards her faith and very devoted to her church.
Throughout her life she loved cooking, gardening, fishing, nature and spending time with her family and friends, particularly at the family cabin.
Sincere thanks are extended to the staff of Hollett’s Retirement Home for the attention and care given to her over the years and especially to the circle of friends she became part of during her residency. The family also extends tremendous thanks to the ICU staff at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre for their compassionate and professional medical care.

Resting at Central Funeral Homes Chapel, Grand Falls-Windsor, where public visitation will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
Father Joseph Uy will conduct the Mass of Christian burial from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Grand Falls-Windsor, on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 2:00 P.M.
Interment will follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Union Street.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Association for New Canadians.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ryan Peddle of Central Funeral Homes.
