Dorothy Goulding - Fifield
(Jan. 3, 1925 – Aug. 25, 2020)

Dorothy Goulding - Fifield passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord at the Carmelite House, Grand Falls-Windsor on August 27, 2020 in her 95th year. Dorothy was a loving mother, role model and friend. II Timothy 4: 7 – 8: “I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course; I have kept the faith.”

Dorothy Goulding - Fifield is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Frank Goulding; her second husband, Sydney Fifield; daughter Debbie; infant son Paul; grandson Paul; great-grandson Nicky; son-in-law Mark Brady; grandson Verdell Goulding; sisters, Mary Sheppard and Myrtle Kinden; and step-brother John Hoddinott.

Leaving to mourn with loving memories, her children: Phyllis (Ted) Pilgrim, Daphne (Edward) Canning, Wallace (Fern), Glenda Goulding, Sherman (Judy), Oral (Judy), Bruce (Anne), Dexter (Wendy), David (Cindy); son-in-law Hans Noseworthy; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sisters, Roseanna Kinden, Piney Small and Ruby Sheppard and a large circle of relatives and friends.

Born on Indian Islands to parents, Kenneth and Sylvia Sheppard (nee West), Dorothy later moved to Pt. Leamington seeking employment and there she met the love of her life, Frank Goulding.

Dorothy accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour in her teenage years and followed Him faithfully all her life. The Word of God became her passion and guiding light. Dorothy was a woman of unshakable faith and integrity, the matriarch of the family, the glue that held everyone and everything together. Her impact on her family and those who knew her will echo into eternity. Now after nearly 96 years of pilgrimage, she has reached her destination – her eternal, celestial home. Her battles have been fought and her victories won. She is with her Lord forever.

Arrangements are entrusted to Central Funeral Homes, Grand Falls-Windsor. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 27th from 7-9 PM and Friday, August 28th from 9-12 AM at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at Evangel Pentecostal Church on Saturday, August 29th at 1:30 PM officiated by Pastor Geoffrey Slade. Interment is to follow at the Pt. Leamington Pentecostal Cemetery. Visitation and funeral service will be held with restrictions due to COVID-19.

Donations may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Gideon’s Bible Society.

To the Goulding family

We send our sincere condolences on the passing of your mom. We know that there is a better day coming when there will be a great reunion of believers in Christ. And together we shall be forever with the Lord. So, we take comfort in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

May God bless you all as you celebrate a life of faith, well lived and she will be forever loved in memory.

To my Goulding cousins and their families:

Heaven got just a little bit sweeter this week when Aunt Dot went on ahead to Glory. What an amazing reunion she must have had with so many loved ones who were already there! And to meet her Savior face to face! I can hardly imagine it!

My memory of Aunt Dot was of a strong and steady lady whose love for God and confidence in his faithfulness defined her very life!

Her smile was beautiful and genuine! She was brave! She was strong! She was lovely!

I know you will miss her presence in your lives. May you find comfort in the Bright Promise of Resurrection Morning!!

Take good care of each other as you walk through this journey together.
