Obituary for Dwayne Victor Burton

In the early morning hours of January 4, 2024 Dwayne Victor Burton passed away peacefully at the Valley Vista Seniors Home Springdale NL and entered into his eternal heavenly home.

Dwayne was a well known resident in the town of Roberts Arm. He was enrolled as a senior soldier and was the welcome sergeant for many years at the Roberts Arm Salvation Army Corps. Dwayne faced many physical challenges throughout his life but his unwavering faith, kindhearted and determined personality was an inspiration to all who knew and loved him.

Predeceased by parents Andrew and Nellie Burton, brothers Bruce and Keith. Left with fond and loving memories are brothers Clyde (Bessie) Roberts Arm NL; Gerald (Elaine) Baie Verte NL; Jerry (Elizabeth) Hearts Delight NL; Randy (Beulah) Boyle AB; Dennis (Karen) Shoe Cove NL; Kevin (Corinna) Bishop’s Falls NL; sisters Betty Simms (Bill) Springdale NL; Jean Caravan (Willie) Grand Falls-Windsor NL; Joy Hamlyn (Clarence) Labrador City NL; Evelyn Bishop (Arthur) Shoe Cove NL; Vera Rice (Malcolm) Port Anson NL; Joyce Visser (James) Edmonton AB; Kay Rideout (Brian) Goose Bay NL; Rosemary Verge (Dennis) Brighton NL, as well as a great number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Majors Larry and Phyllis Fudge will conduct the funeral service from The Salvation Army Roberts Arm, NL on January 7, 2024.
Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery Roberts Arm. In recognition of their honorary member and at special request from Dwayne, pallbearers are members of the Roberts Arm Fire Department.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Central Funeral Homes, 57 Little Bay Road, Springdale.
